Haverhill Resident Opens Sanctum Style in Lynnfield
Haverhill resident Jaime Sloan and her husband, Ryan McCarthy, have opened a new women and mens clothing boutique, Sanctum Style, at Lynnfield MarketStreet.
The shop opened Monday, Sept. 6, in the upscale shopping plaza. The couple previously owned Dani Kaye in North Andover.
Sloan made the decision to close Dani Kaye, a fashion, fitness, and women’s lifestyle boutique, last summer after about three years in business.
Sloan spent more than a decade in New York working in high-fashion for retailers such as David Yurman, Bloomingdales, and Tiffany & Company before moving back to the Merrimack Valley. At Dani Kaye, she developed a following across the North Shore for offering specialty pieces and designer denim.
Sanctum Style will include that and much more.
The larger storefront will also offer men’s clothing as well, and Sloan says the assortment will include items in camo, elevated loungewear, and seasonal colors.
“Those trends do exist in men’s wear, you just don’t often see them up this way,” she said.
According to Sloan, people are socializing again and going back to the office, and they want one wardrobe that can be used for work and the weekends.
Sloan and her husband completely renovated the space previously occupied by Hanna Andersson and it now boasts a “Soho industrial boutique” vibe, she added.
“It’s like you are walking into a Lower Manhattan boutique,” Sloan said.
Chris LaButte, the former general manager of Farley’s of Newburyport, will manage the shop.
Sloan is excited to be opening at the bustling MarketStreet, which draws customers from across the area. As a destination, customers can visit her shop and then go to lunch or do more shopping.
“We’re really excited about that,” she said.
