Lexington Symphony: Love and Life
April 2 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
The beautiful, bittersweet and haunting music of this program takes the audience from Delius’ masterpiece, “The Walk to Paradise Garden,” based loosely on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, to Mozart’s final work, his Requiem Mass shrouded in the mystery of his early death. This Requiem, with its achingly beautiful, soaring melodies, features four wonderful soloists whose talents have kept them in demand throughout the US and Europe. Join the Lexington Symphony at Cary Hall on Saturday, April 2, for an emotional journey through love and life.
