Holiday Lights

Late December has for millennia been a time of celebration and light, coinciding with the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere. The darkest days of the year spark a yearning deep inside each of us to connect with others and to use artificially created light to sooth our souls. The tradition spans various cultures and faiths, and in our modern world is most associated with the Christian tradition of Christmas. Each year throughout the Merrimack Valley many individuals and organizations take the time and spend the money to illuminate the dark nights for all of us. We thought we’d share a few of our favorite images.
