Eight Great Things To Do This Weekend – 7/15/21
ONE: Spend an evening surrounded by fragrant flowers and warm breezes during this week’s picnic concert at the Stevens-Coolidge House & Gardens in North Andover. Spread out a picnic blanket, listen to live music and taste local food and brewery beverages from vendors who will be available onsite. TWO: Creative Collective, a Massachusetts-based business program that provides opportunities for small businesses, entrepreneurs, non profits and individuals, was invited to Lawrence to facilitate new and exciting ways to activate Lawrence’s downtown storefronts. THREE: Join Drive Custom Fit for a free outdoor workout class at Tuscan Village Lake Park. The class will involve workouts with weighted bands bodyweight exercises. Participants will experience a full-body workout blended with a high-intensity interval training in an exciting, audio-pumping, outdoor environment. FOUR: Visit Cider Hill Farm in Amesbury this weekend for the 2021 Blueberry and Flower Festival. On both Saturday and Sunday, the festival will feature free live music, an outdoor hard cider bar, family-friendly activities, hayrides, a food truck, homemade blueberry treats, cut-your-own flowers and pick-your-own blueberries. Enjoy an outdoor yoga class among the Stevens-Coolidge House & Gardens in North Andover, where you will learn breathing techniques to calm your mind, postures to balance and stretch your body, and relaxation to soothe your soul. Surrounded by flowers and birdsong for music, these gardens provide a great setting to connect to the earth and find peace in nature. EIGHT: Celebrate the hits of the 80s and catch a live performance by Foreigners Journey at Salisbury’s Blue Ocean Music Hall. This electrifying live show brings together the unmistakable sounds of two of rocks greatest arena bands of the 80s. Listen to ballads such as “I Want to Know What Love Is,” “Faithfully,” “Cold as Ice,” “Hot Blooded,” “Separate Ways,” “Jukebox Hero,” “Don’t Stop Believing” and many more performed in their original key and pitch.
