Eight Great Things To Do This Weekend – 3/11/21
ONE: Mark your calendars to join Emmaus on Wednesday, April 14, for Sip, Sample & Support — A Virtual Affair to Benefit Emmaus. The event will include a guided wine, gourmet cheese and chocolate tasting, a V.I.P. Pre-Tasting Cocktail Party, a live auction, entertainment, and more. Plus, the Emmaus online auction runs from April 7 to April 14. Proceeds will benefit Emmaus Inc., a nonprofit community housing development organization and shelter provider in Haverhill, Mass. Emmaus serves more than 1,500 people each year, including more than 700 children. Each night 300 people call Emmaus “home.” In 2020, Emmaus’ work became even more critical as they worked tirelessly, and at tremendous financial cost, to keep those in their care safe during the pandemic. Canceled fundraising events, plus other additional costs related to staffing and cleaning amounted to a $450,000 budgetary shortfall last year and they are still incurring $50,000 in pandemic-related costs monthly. Proceeds from special events will offset some of these incredible expenses. Click here to reserve your tasting box today.
