Eight Great Things To Do This New Year’s Weekend – 12/31/20
ONE: Ring in and sing in the New Year with Greater Boston Stage Company’s production: Carolyn Saxon and Friends: Singing in the New Year. Lifelong performer Carolyn Saxon, with special guests Robert Saoud and Kathy St. George, sings your favorite songs from the American Songbook, Broadway and more. Featuring Matthew Stern on piano, this virtual concert is sure to bring in the new year with good spirits and cheer. SIX: Enjoy a beautiful evening hike on the first day of the year during the All Things Glowing Night Hike with the Trustees at Ward Reservation. This will be a lantern-guided hike full of reflection and positive energy. As hikers reach the top of Holt Hill where the trees part to reveal a sky full of stars, they will be greeted by glowing fire pits and a fire spinning performance by Tetra. SEVEN: Join the Chelmsford Center for the Arts remotely for the virtual performance Guitar Suite 2021: Simple Music for Complex Times. The performance will feature guitarist and educator Mike Loce in his instrumental solo exploration with an acoustic nylon string guitar and electric guitar synthesizer. EIGHT: Enjoy a movie night for the whole family at Portside Waterfront Kitchen and Bar in Salisbury.
