Eight Great Things To Do This Weekend – 2/27/20
ONE: Get your daily dose of the best medicine — laughter! Fill your belly with laughs as three funny folks take stage at the Firehouse Center of the Arts.
This show features New England Comedians Tony V and Kyle Crawford, as well as the very funny New Yorker David Lamb. You can see these three comedian powerhouses live this Friday at 8 p.m.
TWO: Join Palace Theatre this weekend as the storytelling magic of ABBA’s timeless songs like “Dancing Queen,” “Take A Chance On Me” and, of course, “Mamma Mia!” propel an enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship with explosive dancing and non-stop laughter.

THREE: Formed in early 2008, The Great Escape performs the timeless music of Journey with precision, high energy and genuine passion each and every time they hit the stage.
Listen to the sounds of one of rock’s most loved bands come to life once again at the Blue Ocean Music Hall this Friday at 8 p.m.
FOUR: The Paula Estey Gallery’s latest program, “Family, Trees,” explores and celebrates life’s interconnectedness. The exhibition, featuring more than 10 artists, explores how humans and nature relate, as well as how they grow and support one another’s well-being.
Visit the gallery this Saturday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. to enjoy a presentation by Crispin Miller, president of the Friends of Newburyport Trees, a reading from Peter Wohlleben’s book “The Hidden Life of Trees” by artist/actress Cynthia August, and a discussion about the Jewish Festival of Trees by Minister Joel Grossman.
FIVE: Goats To Go is hosting another stroll in the woods of Georgetown with goats leading the way. Along with the goats event includes a meet and greet with other animals on the farm such as horses, llamas, sheep, dogs and more. The walk will be a little over a mile round-trip on gravel and hilly terrain with the pace set at a leisurely “goat” speed.

SIX: This Saturday, join Mill No. 5 for their Pet Fest/Decades double marketplace feature. From 12 to 4 p.m., the mill’s 5th floor with be hosting these two special market events in tandem. Pet Fest is the perfect marketplace for Pet Lovers looking to support local businesses, and Decades will feature retro and vintage themes and items.
