Eight Great Things To Do This Weekend – 2/13/20
ONE: Last month, the Tsongas Center began their first-ever Talon Club Comedy Series. The live stand-up comedy series features some of Boston’s best comedians and continues tonight with the hilarious Dan Boulger. Boulger has been seen on Comedy Central, BBC, HBO and has made multiple appearances on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

TWO: This Saturday, the Concord Museum and the Worcester Art Museum will jointly present Beyond Midnight: Paul Revere, an exhibition that provides a revolutionary perspective on the artistic production of this important American patriot.
Organized by the American Antiquarian Society, the exhibition will show the entrepreneurial and creative spirit of this early American artisan and his impact on the social, economic, and political life of the United States.
The exhibition will be on view concurrently in Worcester and Concord from Feb. 15 through June 7, 2020. To see the full exhibition, visitors are encouraged to visit both museums. When paying admission at one museum, visitors will receive a “two for one” voucher to use at the other location.
THREE: Once again, Massachusetts Audubon Society at Joppa Flats is celebrating the local presence of wintering American bald eagles. The Merrimack River Eagle Festival will feature a variety of fun, hands-on, eagle-themed craft activities that will include dissecting owl pellets and plenty of other cool activities.
The eagle festival will take place on Feb. 15 at the Mass Audubon Joppa Flats Education Center. Activities start at 9 a.m.
FOUR: Visit Cary Memorial Hall this Saturday for Lexington Symphony’s celebration of world-renowned composers Dvorak and Beethoven. Conquering New Lands brings Dvorak’s Cello Concerto and Beethoven’s Eroica to life once again, for an evening of historical and musical adventure.
Lexington Symphony: Conquering New Lands will be held at Cary Memorial Hall this Saturday, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
FIVE: Reverend Robert Jones is a blues performer from Detroit who tells spellbinding stories through his songs about the African American experience and the influences of black culture on American music. The self-taught, multi-instrumentalist powerhouse has been expressing his deep appreciation of traditional African American music for years through storytelling, history and humor.
Witness the Reverend live at New Moon Coffeehouse this Saturday, starting at 8 p.m.
SIX: Be amazed when you, your friends or strangers across the room become stars of the show, as Frank Santos Jr., The R-Rated Hypnotist and Comedian, makes them believe that they are singers, dancers and much more.
This is a performance where the audience becomes the show. Santos’s performance has limitless variations and can please every appetite.
This hilarious, energetic show will take place at the Palace Theatre this Saturday from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.
SEVEN: Join The Basic Art Room in Haverhill for their Valentine’s Weekend Paint Party. This Saturday, grab your friends, coworkers or significant others and plan on a creative fun filled night out! Let your inner artist to shine through and watch as you create a masterpiece right before your eyes.
Artists will guide you step by step while you create your own personal work and enjoy a fun-filled experience. All supplies will be provided. Doors open at 6:00.
EIGHT: Visit Derry this Sunday for the 2020 Frost Festival. This free event will feature a petting zoo, bonfire, ice sculptures, sledding, puppet show, cookie decorating, music and plenty more.
The Frost Festival will be taking place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Alexander Carr Playground in Derry, N.H.
