ONE: Holiday Gift Giving Just Got Easier!
Join the artists of the Western Avenue in Lowell for Holiday Open Studios, happening on Dec. 7 and 8 from 12 to 5 p.m. The artists have made gifts for every budget. Over 100 studios will open their doors to share their creative community. Experience five floors of fine art, craft, woodworking, photography, mixed media, sculpture, jewelry, glass, clothing, fiber art, ceramics and more. Holiday decorations for your home can be found everywhere, and food trucks will be present.

TWO: Kick off the holiday season with the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce at the 2019 Christmas Stroll.
The event will include family-friendly activities including cookie decorating, ornament making and live music with performances by local artists. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit Santa’s workshop and meet the Merry One himself and some of his hard-working elves. Enjoy the spirit of the season with holiday music performed by wandering carolers and a saxophone quartet.
The highlight of the evening will be the official tree lighting with Santa in Washington Square. It’s all happening in downtown Haverhill this Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
THREE: Platinum-selling Squirrel Nut Zippers are embarking on their third annual Holiday Caravan Tour this December, and they will be hitting The Tupelo Music Hall on Dec. 6.
Even if the weather outside is frightful, it will be a Hot Christmas as the swinging jazz band tear through songs from their “Christmas Caravan” album, holiday hits and longtime Zippers favorites.
Don’t miss the party on Dec. 6 at 8 p.m.
FOUR: In what is their biggest fundraising event of the year, the Whistler House Museum of Art will host their annual Whistler Holiday Party on Friday, Dec. 6, starting at 6:30 p.m.
The live-art auction will be led once again by auctioneer extraordinaire State Rep. Tom Golden Jr., and will feature original works from local artists. The evening will also include the return of the Trinity Triple Treat Raffle, for which club seat tickets to Bruins, Red Sox and Celtics games will be given away. Silent auction items include artwork, designer handbags, jewelry, children’s toys, vineyard tours and horseback riding lessons. There will be live music and entertainment.
FIVE: Everyone’s favorite holiday classic comes to life in the all-new touring production “A Charlie Brown Christmas Live On Stage.” Join Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the whole Peanuts gang as they produce their own Christmas play and learn the true meaning of the season. Adapted from Charles M. Schulz’s timeless story, the show features the unforgettable music of Vince Guaraldi, as well as a concert of beloved holiday carols performed by the Peanuts characters.
Hug your saddest looking Christmas tree before heading over to the Lowell Memorial Auditorium on Dec. 7, at 1 p.m.
SIX: On Saturday, Dec. 7, the Museum of Printing will host a celebration of the 526th anniversary of the “Nuremberg Chronicle.”
Visitors will learn how this unique book came into existence and see a display of individual pages of the original Chronicle and related materials.
Stop by between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to learn about one of the most densely illustrated and technically advanced works of early printing.
SEVEN: Enjoy the boisterous charm of The Irish Tenors as they perform the charmingly beautiful music of Ireland and the glorious music of Christmas. We Three Kings is a holiday concert for young and old that warms hearts and lifts spirits high.
Be sure to catch The Irish Tenors’ wonderful performance at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium on Dec. 8, at 3 p.m.
EIGHT: Get ready for a forest of sparkling holiday trees and wreaths decorated with unique and fun themes, visits with Santa, Elsa and The Grinch, skating on Seaside Ice and indoor rink, music and dance performances, a coastal arts and crafts show, lots of cool special events, a giant gingerbread house castle display, gift and sweet shop, and festival cafe. What more could you ask for; it’s the Sea Festival of Trees!

Cantemus Chamber Chorus: December Christmas
The celebrated Magnificat in G minor by Antonio Vivaldi highlights this year’s holiday “Star-Made Shadows” concerts by the Cantemus Chamber Chorus, accompanied by strings and organ.
