Cottage Luxe

This cottage at Port Place in Newburyport is part of a community-focused, low-maintenance style of housing. It is the work of builder and developer Cottage Advisors, a Westford-based “pocket neighborhood” specialist exclusively marketed by The Forzese Group of RE/MAX On the River. Pocket neighborhoods are designed to meet the demands of a contemporary lifestyle with an eye to fostering the sense of belonging often lost in modern living.

What does this mean? Snow removal, shoveling and landscaping are covered. A well-maintained “pocket park” is ready for interacting with neighbors over barbecue under an open sky. Front porches are close to the road so that pedestrians and homeowners can easily interact.

There are other ways that the cottages make for easy living. The hardy siding provides good insulation. Red oak hardwood floors cover most of the homes with the exception of the bedrooms, some of which are carpeted. Due to the 5 Star Energy rating of all appliances, the homes don’t cost a fortune to heat. Plus, there’s an abundance of natural light.

The Cottages at Port Place and The Cottages at Drakes Landing of West Newbury are two of the Cottage Advisors newest communities. The Cottages at Port Place in Newburyport offer 38 homes with six cottage styles to choose from and 26 acres of green space with direct access to miles of walking trails. Cottages at Drakes Landing boasts 34 homes with six distinct cottage styles to choose from. Owners in each community can enjoy an Own Easy Lifestyle while taking advantage of great amenities.
