Eight Great Things To Do This Weekend – 6/6/19

ONE: Cobblestones of Lowell is celebrating its 25th anniversary on Friday, June 7. Head on down to enjoy great foods, beverages and live music by Hal Holiday.

TWO: The St. Joseph’s 3rd Annual Food Festival takes place at the St. Joseph Melkite Greek Catholic Church this Saturday and Sunday. The event will feature an extensive menu of fresh-made Lebanese and America foods, live entertainment, cash bar, hookah, raffles and more.

THREE: Come see the defending Eastern League champion, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, play the Richmond Flying Squirrels on Sunday, June 9, at 1:35 p.m. Wondering if you are the big winner of this week’s ticket giveaway to see the Fisher Cats? Scroll down and see!

FOUR: Catch Gabby Martin live at the Copper Door in Salem, N.H. Martin is an acoustic folk-rock singer-songwriter influenced by Alanis Morissette, Brooke Fraser and Sarah McLachlan.

FIVE: Have a laugh at Bread & Roses during their 2019 “Live.Love.LAUGH event. From 6 to 10 p.m. on June 7, attendees will enjoy a full buffet, silent auction and hilarious stand-up. It’s all for a good cause: Proceeds benefit Bread & Roses and their fight against hunger and hardship in Lawrence.

SIX: MakeIt Fest, an outdoor fair where local makers, artists, craftsmen, and makerspaces gather to show things they have made, will be taking place in Nashua on Saturday, June 8 from 12 to 5 p.m. Several area makerspaces will be present, so it’s a great opportunity to discover what makerspaces are and what they have to offer.

SEVEN: Who doesn’t like the idea of hanging out with baby goats? On June 9 Nevins Farm will be hosting Baby Goat Socialization Time. Every dollar raised will go directly to their lifesaving Ashton’s Hope fund, which helps them meet the extraordinary medical needs of horses and farm animals at the MSPCA at Nevins Farm.

EIGHT: The Museum of Old Newbury will be holding its 40th Anniversary Garden Tour on June 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. With a theme of Old Favorites and New Treasures, the event will be an especially fun and festive tour highlighting some of the most memorable gardens from years past along with newly featured properties.
