Eight Great Things to Do This Weekend – 5/9/19

ONE: Having lived through what he calls the “Great Folk Music Scare of the ’60s” and the “Disco Scare of the ’70s,” Massachusetts native Brian Weeks quickly learned that not all music is created equal: “Some of it serves only to make it easier to find the really great ones,” he writes on his website. See him at Four Oaks Country Club from 7 to 11 p.m. on Friday.

TWO: Join Tuscan Kitchen for their Dueling Piano Dinner Show at the Salem, N.H. location on Friday night! They’re teaming up with New York City’s Shake Rattle & Roll Pianos to host a three-course dinner coupled with a night of music entertainment. Dinner will start at 6:30 p.m., with the Dueling Piano show to follow from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

THREE: Are you a writer who’s hit a recent block, or perhaps just looking for something a little different to get your creative juices flowing? Head to the latest writing workshop at the Firehouse Center for the Arts on Saturday at 2 p.m., “The Magical Memory Tour Workshop: Teen Memories & Sleepover Snacks.”

SIX: On Sunday during their Mother’s Day Seedling Sale and Tea Party from 10 a.m. to noon, Boxford’s ifarm will be selling over thirty organic seedling varieties, all raised right in its greenhouse and served with a side of English tea, biscuits and lavender-mint tea.
