Love Springs Eternal, Part 2: Ariel + Alex

For those seeking warmth, inspiration and romance, we present images of local couples on their special day. The stories of how they met, fell in love and were married take us from Plum Island to Punta Cana, but they all have something in common: the Merrimack Valley.
Ariel + Alex
Ariel and Alex met in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic on spring break during their senior year in college. After four years of dating, Alex proposed on Ariel’s favorite Cape Cod beach following a romantic dinner at Captain Linnell House in Orleans, Mass. The two opted for a classic wedding near the ocean, with gold and navy as their colors. Their ceremony was at St. Ann Church in Gloucester, followed by a reception at the Beauport Hotel that included Greek food and dancing. Their wedding style was traditional, and Ariel wore her mother’s cathedral length veil and opal ring. She also had two photo charms of her grandfathers tied to her bouquet for the special day.
