Love Springs Eternal Part 1: Victoria + Ryan

For those seeking warmth, inspiration and romance, we present images of local couples on their special day. The stories of how they met, fell in love and were married take us from Plum Island to Punta Cana, but they all have something in common: the Merrimack Valley.

Victoria + Ryan

High school sweethearts Victoria and Ryan were wed at a unique location — the Plum Island Airport. Victoria’s dad owned a small plane and often took her for rides above their hometown when she was young. “It was just like old times,” Victoria says of the runway-side ceremony. “My dad literally flew me down the aisle.” If you think it might be nerve-racking to fly in to your wedding, think again. “I remember the day of the wedding being a nervous wreck all day long,” Victoria says, “but the second I got in that plane and got up in the sky with my dad, all my nerves went away and a calm came over me.” Ryan wore matching airplane cuff links and monogrammed airplane socks.
