Wellforce and Home Health Foundation Announce Partnership Plans

Home Health Foundation has announced that it will become the fourth member of Wellforce and together the organizations will expand and enhance post-acute services in eastern Massachusetts with a focus north of Boston into Southern New Hampshire and Maine. This partnership, which will eventually include Wellforce’s current members Circle Home and Hallmark Health VNA and Hospice, creates one of largest home health and hospice providers in the region and will be led by Home Health Foundation CEO Karen Gomes.

Wellforce and Home Health Foundation will submit their plans to the Health Policy Commission immediately, and hope to finalize the agreement in the next few months to begin advancing the next chapter in home health and hospice services for the region.

“The effective and efficient delivery of medical and supportive services at home is more important than ever,” said Gomes. “We are excited to join with the outstanding health care providers of Wellforce to expand what is possible for patients throughout our service areas. Together we can provide more coordinated, convenient and high quality care for individuals and families who want to remain at home.”



Merrimack Repertory Theatre Artists Win Princess Grace Awards

María-Cristina Fusté has received a Princess Grace Award in theater. Fusté designed MRT’s acclaimed production of “Abigail/1702” by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa during the 2016 and 2017 season, will serve as the lighting designer for this season’s world premiere of “The Heath” by Lauren Gunderson and will be involved with the theater’s season planning for its next season in 2019 and 2020.

Vichet Chum, playwright and performer of “KNYUM” in MRT’s 2017 and 2018 season, also received a Princess Grace Award: this one in playwrighting with the New Dramatists Guild in NYC. Chum will also make an appearance in MRT’s 2018-19 season. In mvm‘s review of “KNYUM,” Brianna Moran said Chum’s performance in the one-man show “crackles with raw honesty.”

Two Find New Roles at Salem Co-operative Bank

NoteWorthy - 8/5/18Salem Co-operative Bank recently named Kerianne Pereira to the position of vice president, commercial lending. In her new role, she will be responsible for providing the Bank’s full range of commercial banking services for existing and prospective customers within Salem, N.H., and its surrounding communities. Pereira holds a master’s degree in business administration from Southern New Hampshire University. In banking for over 15 years, she began her commercial lending career in 2012 and quickly developed an expertise in commercial real estate, small business loans and risk assessment. She’s also active as a member of the Merrimack Valley community in a leadership and volunteer capacity, serving as former treasurer and now current member of the Exchange Club of Salem, as a committee member of the Greater Salem Boys & Girls Club’s annual auction and as a volunteer for Cor Unum, Lawrence. She currently resides in Salem, N.H.

The 28th Annual Anna Jaques Hospital Fore Your Health Golf Tournament will be held at the Renaissance Golf Club. Chaired by former mayor Byron Matthews since its inception, the tournament has raised over $2 million to benefit various programs and services at Anna Jaques. Haverhill, Mass. |

August 18

Join the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of Haverhill for The Harbor Place Summer Event Series: Dog Days of Summer on the Boardwalk along the Dempsey Boardwalk in downtown Haverhill! Show off your pup in the Pooch Parade, followed by the Top Dog competition in the plaza! Stop by the Doggy Oasis to cool off and have a drink.
