FIVE: The Harbor Place Summer Event Series will continue with Caribbean Night on the Boardwalk along the Dempsey Boardwalk in downtown Haverhill! Using Dr. Seuss’ “The Lorax” and Shel Silverstein’s “The Giving Tree” as inspiration, participants will create their very own giving tree in the gardens, enjoy truffula tree snacks, complete a scavenger hunt based on events in the stories, and do it all while wearing a Lorax mustache of their own creation.
SEVEN: The first day of Lawrence Ciclovía 2018 will be on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. Ciclovía connects its participants with vibrant public spaces, active transportation and good health through this car-free event. By closing streets to traffic, the roads become an extension of the park and create larger public places for families to enjoy the outdoors, walking, cycling and other activities.
EIGHT: Justin Hayward is the voice and songwriter of such Moody Blues hits as “Tuesday Afternoon” and “Nights in White Satin.” He’ll be performing solo hits as well of a collection of his songs with the Moody Blues at the Blue Ocean Music Hall on Sunday at 8 p.m.
