Three Major Benefits of Laser Hair Removal
by Kristina Dudley of All Care Laser Center
Trying to remove unwanted hair from home is a tempting proposition, especially when it comes to the finances you might imagine are involved in going elsewhere to do it. The fact of the matter is, though, that you’re likely to be frustrated by the results of trying to remove hair at home — laser treatment simply works better than most of the products you can buy on the shelf. Here are three major benefits of using laser hair removal services:
1. It’s a lot more precise than most other hair removal techniques. For obvious reasons, lasers are able to move between areas with wanted and unwanted hair with a lot more accuracy than many of the products you can use yourself… and the despair of removing hair you actually wanted to keep is just not worth it!
2. Laser hair removal is longer-lasting and eventually permanent. You won’t really find another treatment that makes permanent hair removal possible in this short and this effective of a time.
3. The process of laser hair removal takes a lot shorter than other techniques. The laser pulses so quickly that it can treat an area roughly the size of a quarter every second. That’s covering a lot more ground in a lot less time than most other products and techniques!

Western Avenue Studios to Host Night of Broga, Brew & Classic Rock
On Friday, March 23 from 6 to 9 p.m., Western Avenue Studios will host Broga & Brew: Classic Rock Edition in their Onyx Room Theater. This night of fun and fitness will be powered by a soundtrack of — you guessed it — classic rock from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s. The group will then move to Navigation Brewing Co., located within the same complex, where your ticket price will get you a full pour or a flight of their craft beer. A food truck will also be on site. Don’t forget to bring water and a yoga mat (but don’t worry, either — the group will have some on hand if you don’t have one).
Broga is a fusion of traditional yoga fused with functional movement to provide an efficient hour of working out and working in. Geared for men, it is open to and loved by both men and women — and while challenging, Broga is suitable for most fitness levels & welcoming to beginners. Want to learn more about it? Check out our story on this different take on yoga right here on MVMag.net!

Center Yourself (and Distance Yourself from Stress) with This Technique
Okay, that headline got you to read this, didn’t it? Good — now stick with us: the technique is, as we’ve mentioned a few times before here on Wellness Wednesdays, meditation. This word, for some reason, puts people off because they believe they need a massive space and a completely quiet environment in order to reduce their stress using the technique — but as NBC News’ Vivian Manning-Schaffel reports, all you really need to meditate is “a place to sit with some semblance of back support.” She quotes meditation expert Light Watkins, who says “Real people living busy lives can meditate successfully … in bed alone or next to their snoring partner, in the passenger seat of their car … or in a bus or plane seat.” Watkins goes on to say that if one expects to meditate with any frequency, one needs to adapt to the idea of meditating in less-than-ideal positions and situations. How, exactly? Check out the full article for the details.
