ONE: Chelmsford Public Library will host Winterfest 2018: A Winter Escape, a popular community social that features three different mini escape room challenges, on Friday at 7 p.m. Plus, attendees will be able to enjoy delicious foods from local restaurants, music, and the company of friends and neighbors.
TWO: Victorian Valentines for Modern Times: a Valentine Making Workshop will take place at Dracut’s M.G. Parker Memorial Library from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. This family activity is intended for little ones to enjoy along with their parents or caregivers. Registration is required.
THREE: Allman Brothers Band tribute Live at the Fillmore is playing at Tupelo Music Hall on Friday at 8 p.m. Expect to hear plenty of the classic band’s rockin’ hits like “Ramblin’ Man,” “Midnight Rider” and “Whipping Post.”
FOUR: Join Lowell Transitional Living Center supporters in the tropically decorated 3rd floor function room at Cobblestones of Lowell for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Getaway Homeless Benefit on Friday at 6 p.m. Enjoy a tiki cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, classic vacation themed music and more. All funds will support Lowell Transitional Living Center’s life changing programs and services.
FIVE: Chelmsford Agway Winter Farmers Market is an indoor winter farmers market that takes place every Saturday at 10 a.m. Vendors sell the basics, like fresh produce and meats from local farms, in addition to everything from Greek pastries to freshly roasted coffee beans and alpaca fiber winter wear.
SIX: In the Greater Boston Stage Company’s youth production of “Seussical the Musical,” cats wear hats and audiences wear smiles — both two sizes too large. It’s almost impossible not to grin when this stage adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ stories plunges you into the whimsical world of “Cat in the Hat,” “Horton Hears a Who!” and many more classics. Catch the show on Friday at 10 a.m., Saturday at 4 p.m. or Sunday at 1 p.m.
SEVEN: The Freeze Your Buns 5K Race will take place at the Conway Arena in Nashua, N.H. on Sunday at 9 p.m. Hot beverages and light refreshments will be available after the race for runners and volunteers!
EIGHT: This Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to noon, join Engage Your Core Pilates in Newburyport to support Lucy’s Love Bus, whose mission is to “improve quality of life for children with cancer and life-threatening illness, to support their families, and to mobilize the next generation of cancer activists.” 100 percent of proceeds go to the organization and the families they support.
