North Andover’s Local Artful & Affordable Alternative for Holiday Shopping (Sponsored)

The holidays are fast approaching.

You want to buy gifts that are as thoughtful as they are unique. You want to buy from a local business. You want to avoid the fuss of going to the mall. The clock is ticking and we’ve got the perfect place for you!

Rose & Dove, with its ever-changing selection, is located on Chickering Road in North Andover, right off Main Street. While the store is a haven for last-minute shoppers, Rose & Dove is well-known among locals as the go-to place for wedding, baby and hostess gifts with a twist.

Owner Kellee Twadelle founded Rose & Dove in 2005. After earning a master’s degree in computer science, she worked in the high-tech industry. When her Boston commute made it increasingly difficult to spend time with her family, she switched her attention from computers to retail and never looked back. Twelve years later, her store serves as an example of why local businesses matter. Rose & Dove is a critical part of the community. In contrast with the impersonal and manufactured nature of national chains, here, the products are tailored to meet the needs of its Merrimack Valley clientele.

The store has evolved over time from focusing on gourmet gift baskets to their current specialization — a mix of, as Twadelle notes, “artful and affordable gifts for every occasion.”

Featured items include eco-conscious Mariposa’s handcrafted tableware, constructed from 100 percent recycled material, and lead-free crystal glassware from Vermont’s Simon Pearce. Pearce’s popular Christmas trees are an eye-catching and elegant addition to any tablescape. No two are exactly the same.

Rose & Dove offers an extensive array of corporate gifts as well. With on-site personalization and engraving equipment, Twadelle and her staff are able to create custom gifts for events, awards and milestones. They specialize in gifts for real estate professionals — an array of options are available for new homeowners. These can be personalized with town, street address and/or longtitude and latitude coordinates.

Rose & Dove features a wide array of additional personalization services including on-site engraving and wedding invitations. Twadelle is particularly excited about the recently launched embroidery program. From baby clothes to scarves, the embroidery is done locally and quickly — perfect if you want to give something special to new parents on your Christmas list. Rose & Dove’s personalized pillows and rustic signs are popular among millennial moms.

Recently, Rose & Dove has witnessed the expansion of its mens section. Their cuff links and tie clips can’t be found at big box stores and can be engraved to match the tastes of the husbands, sons and fathers on your gift list.

Another plus for busy shoppers, Rose & Dove offers complimentary gift-wrapping.

It’s those extra amenities that make Rose & Dove, as Twadelle notes, “more than just a destination shop. It’s a place that inspires and connects the community.”
