2017 MVMA Rules & Regulations
Voting for 2017 MVMAs ( Merrimack Valley Magazine Awards ) is open until midnight on Sunday April 30, 2017.
Limit one ballot per person. Each ballot must come from a valid email and IP address, which will be verified. Multiple or duplicate ballots will be disqualified.
Privacy Notice: Information gathered from ballots will be kept private and never shared with another company.
No ballot-box stuffing: In the past, some establishments have taken their in-house mailing lists, sent in entries for their customers, and attempted to ‘stuff’ the ballot box. While we encourage you to set up tablet in-store, so your customers can vote at point-of-sale, large quantities of entries coming from the same IP address within a certain time period will be called into question and subject to disqualification.
No buying votes: Trading votes for services or discounts is also not allowed. If we see a marketing mailer, website ad, social media post, etc., that offers a discount or free service with proof of a vote, we will remove your organization from the nomination forms.
Nominations and write-ins: Write-in votes are not being accepted this year, but you can nominate a business for the 2018 MVMAs. Only local organizations and locally owned franchises will be qualified nominees – no national chains or franchises, please.
Winners will be announced in the July / August issue of Merrimack Valley Magazine and online at MVMag.net, on or around July 3, 2017.
All decisions of 512 Media Inc. and Merrimack Valley Magazine are final.
