ONE: The Firehouse Center for the Arts will be putting on its rendition of The Woman In Black on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. This ghost story relies on more traditional horror elements to earn its frights, forgoing Hollywood jump scares in favor of shadowy suggestions and an eerie atmosphere.
TWO: The Amesbury Cultural Council will be holding its 20th Anniversary Amesbury Open Studio Tour on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Over 80 artists and performers will come together in historic downtown Amesbury for open studio viewings, musical performances, demonstrations, food and much more!
THREE: Made in Lowell will bring its Craft Beer Walk back to downtown Lowell on Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. Over 20 businesses will serve as craft beer tasting sites while live entertainment rocks the historic streets.
FOUR: The annual tradition at Blue Ocean Music Hall is back! On Saturday, the 13th annual RiverFeast will feature Colin Hay (best known as the lead vocalist of Men at Work) and raise money for the Greater Boston Food Bank. Enjoy a cocktail reception, silent auction, harvest-themed buffet dinner and of course, great live music.
FIVE: A little bit of Disney World is coming to Lowell when Disney Live! Mickey and Minnie’s Doorway to Magic opens at the Tsongas Center on Saturday, with three shows at 12, 3 and 6 p.m. Over 25 beloved characters including Donald, Goofy, Aladdin and Snow White will make your children feel as though they’ve stepped into their favorite animated worlds.
SIX: The Merrimack Valley Philharmonic’s 56th season is underway, with their November Concert at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium at the Doherty Middle School set for Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Classical pieces by Mozart, Vivaldi and Glazunov will be performed.
SEVEN: Ironstone Farm is holding their Spirit of Giving Gala at Lowell Memorial Auditorium on Sunday at 6 p.m. This year, the theme is “Vintage Vegas,” and last year’s honoree Tony Orlando will perform with his Vegas-style band. The night will also include a special dinner, casino games, dancing, live auction and raffles.
EIGHT: Sublime with Rome will bring their tribute to Brad Nowell’s popular ’90s act to the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom on Sunday at 8 p.m. Featuring original bassist Eric Wilson, the group will perform hits from the past catalogue as well as from the new albums “Yours Truly” and “Sirens.”
