Local Authors Write 100 Greatest Baseball Autographs Book

Authors Tom and Ellen Zappala of Merrimac have written a new book, “The 100 Greatest Baseball Autographs.” Tom Zappala is the host of the WCCM radio show The Sicilian Corner.
This coffee table format publication is the third volume in the set of award-winning publications authored by the Zappalas including, “The T206 Collection: The Players & Their Stories” and “The Cracker Jack Collection: Baseball’s Prized Players.”
Selected by highly regarded autograph experts using criteria including rarity, historical importance and popularity, the autographs chosen for the “Top 100” are the most sought-after signatures in the hobby.
From Ruth to Jeter and all of the greats in between, the players included in the book represent a cross section of baseball history. “The 100 Greatest Baseball Autographs” offers a complete overview of each featured player, including individual autograph analysis along with the story of the man behind the autograph. PSA/DNA experts educate the reader in the specific characteristics of each of these special signatures and what to look for when hunting for the real deal.
