Couples’ Spring “Peek” Weekend: Getting hitched is one of life’s anchor moments, and couples today are finding more and more ways to expand their celebrations so that they last longer than just one day. The “peek weekend” is one option that’s in style for couples as they plan their big day. Designed to add a little romance to the typically tedious and stressful process of planning a wedding, a peek weekend — or inspection trip — is a getaway to a destination wedding site where brides and grooms can experience the location from the perspective of their guests, fine-tune the details and enjoy some alone time. The Stonehedge Inn & Spa in Tyngsborough, a popular wedding site for couples in the Merrimack Valley, and a potential peek weekend destination, offers a variety of wedding options. The inn offers 30 individually-designed luxury guest rooms adorned in French country accents. Choose a fireside reception in the library, a cozy dinner in the Bordeaux Room, a traditional reception for up to 80 in the Derby Room, or even a large dinner for up to 200 inside the inn’s Left Bank restaurant. For an outdoor backdrop, try the lush landscaping of the inn’s garden gazebo and terrace, or the easy enchantment of the spa deck.

We packed our bags and took our own look inside the intimate and fashionable experience of a couple’s peek weekend at Stonehedge…
