Glenn is the founder and publisher of Merrimack Valley Magazine. For more than 25 years he has worked for a variety of media outlets in varying roles including operations, ad sales, circulation, marketing and editorial. He started his career with Transportation Displays Inc. in New York and, after moving to the Boston area, joined Ackerley Communications (now Clearchannel Outdoor) in 1985. After eight years with that company, in a variety of operations and public relations roles, he moved full-time into advertising sales, first with Harvard Magazine and then with the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune and The Boston Herald. He then successfully started and sold Independent Outdoor Advertising, LLC, a regional outdoor advertising company that acquired, built and managed billboards. For four years, Glenn worked for The Warren Group, publishers of Banker & Tradesman, The Commercial Record and numerous business magazines where he was responsible for circulation and business development. In November 2006 Merrimack Valley Magazine was launched and in September 2009 he assumed the role of editor-in-chief in addition to his duties as publisher. Glenn holds a B.A in Political Science from Long Island University and an M.A. in Political Science from Boston University.
Leigh Campos – Director of Advertising
Leigh is responsible for managing the advertising department in addition to selling ads. She has been with Merrimack Valley Magazine since its inception, joining the team prior to the launch of the first issue in November 2006. Since then, she has played an integral role in the growth and development of the magazine. Before joining MVM, Leigh was in account management at Sonos, Inc. in Cambridge, MA for two years. Leigh holds a B.A in Public Relations/Marketing from Purdue University, West Lafayette IN. .
Stephen Pennimpede – Creative Director
Stephen is a results-driven graphic designer with over 20 years experience in both retail and corporate marketing. After graduating from Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston with two degrees, Stephen joined the In-House Marketing Department at Long’s Jewelers where he was soon promoted to Marketing Director. After re-establishing Long’s as one of the top luxury retailers in the New England marketplace, he struck out on his own as a freelance designer. Long’s became one of his first clients, and that list expanded to encompass a variety of local and national companies, such as City Sports, The Goodwear Corporation, and now Merrimack Valley Magazine. Stephen is not your typical designer – he is an artist that understands the needs and requirements of business. Having worked as a salesperson, media buyer, designer and production manager, he brings a unique perspective and diverse skill set to each and every project.
Emilie-Noelle Provost – Managing Editor
Emilie has over a decade of experience working as a writer, copywriter and editor. She holds a BA in European history from Framingham State University and studied comparative theology and ethics in the graduate program at Andover Newton Theological School. She is a voracious reader, enthusiastic gardener, cat person and lover of all things French. She lives in an old house in Massachusetts’ greatest historic mill city with her husband, daughter and four crazy felines. Someday, she would like to learn to speak French the way her ancestors did. Emilie’s first novel, The Blue Bottle, a middle grade adventure story, was published in October 2012.
